intangibleCanvas

intangibleCanvas

intangibleCanvas is a free-air finger-painting application, using the ZeroTouch sensor for free-air multi-point interaction and an iPhone color palette for brush, color, and opacity selection. It allows an artist to paint and interact with a remote canvas while viewing it through the ZeroTouch sensor.

By viewing the canvas directly through the sensor frame, intangibleCanvas creates a sense of connectedness with the space in which the artist is painting. In the CHI paper, we develop implications for free-air interaction design in these kinds of interaction scenarios.
